Initial Examination
During the initial examination, Dr. Cockrell will spend about 45 minutes face to face with you in order to get a thorough history and evaluation. A follow-up appointment will be set during which time he will discuss your case with you, including a review of any X-rays or MRI’s. At this time he will present his professional recommendations to help you achieve your desired result.
New patients often ask if X-rays are necessary. The answer is sometimes. During the initial exam, the doctor may determine that it is safe to proceed without them, or, he may decide that based on your history and examination findings that they are necessary and refer you out for them. If you already have any studies related to your case, Dr. Cockrell will want you to bring them for review.
